That’s such a stupid reason. Why is he punishing YOU for what HIS ex did, you’re not his ex?! Tbh I would go and not tell him (as bad as that sounds). He can have his worries and boundaries, fine, but he hasn’t even tried to put any trust in you, and he shouldn’t impose restrictions on YOUR life in the first place!
