Most estimates of paternity fraud prevalence in America are between 3-30%. (Paternity fraud = the mother lied about who the father was) Does knowing that make you more/less likely to want a DNA test if you ever have kids?

Had it happen to me. Legit lab subcontracted to a non-legit lab and sent back fraudulent paternity test results. (Long story on how we managed to figure that out) But now I don’t even trust DNA tests. If I’m blessed with actually being a father one day, the child will either look like me or it won’t. I’m not putting it in anyone other than God’s hands now.

I genuinely don’t know why they’re the default for hospitals. Most 1st world countries include it (it also lets them check for genetic diseases)

The foundation of any healthy relationship is trust. If you don’t trust your partner, you shouldn’t be getting married, period. If you do trust your partner, then yeah by definition you don’t think they’d betray you.
