Is it bad that my lats are sore from doing ups yesterday? I thought that pushups target the chest/arms?

If your hands are too far forwards during pushups it’s possible to engage the lats as stabilizer muscles I guess? I would say try to slow your reps a LOT and focus on the form for a bit

Pushups do have a lot of back muscle engagement. It makes sense.
