I’ve been chatting with a girl on an app for a few weeks, seems great, all green flags in conversation, but we still haven’t met in person. We’re both busy with work during the week but we had a weekend date scheduled to meet, but she got sick the day of. The next weekend she was too busy to reschedule. She’s still messaging me on an almost daily basis, but when I bring up trying to schedule another actual date she starts getting weird and giving non-committal dodgy answers. Am I just paranoid?

It could be catfishing but it could also be other reasons also like being scared to meet in person and scared of that commitment yk

I feel like asking for a picture of her hand is gonna come off extra weird. Asking for a selfie maybe less so, except Hinge’s chat doesn’t support sending pictures or video calls. And she hasn’t sent any other contact info, which I originally figured was fair to hold off on until we see how the first date went…

Yeah, I was definitely not hoping to still be on it this long, it’s kind of just how plans fell through. That’s probably part of why I feel like we’re stuck in this weird limbo

Just for the record, this actually was the case. It was a little bit of just bad luck and timing, combined with the fact that she was nervous because I was the first guy she was going to actually meet in person after initially only meeting on an app, and she’d heard plenty of other people’s stories about that not going well which made her a bit hesitant about it.
