The dudes with no gold say this as a cope when a woman leaves for a dude with an income, any income. My dad calls my mom a gold digger because they divorced due to his refusal to hold employment and the next man had a job. Not even some crazy high-paying shit either, just A Job.

Also, since I keep getting notifications from this post, the job in question that the guy my mom was with for years after she split from my dad, that got my mom called a gold-digger: Dude was a trailer-cleaner, then mechanic, and eventually foreman at a big-rig trucking company’s maintenance yard. Just a solid, average, working-class job lmao
