I know ghosting is always a cowardly thing and kind of an asshole move, but sometimes I just get anxious, and I freeze. And I can’t get into my mental health with someone I met less than a few days ago, because no one needs to know all that bullshit

I think people overreact to ghosting and act like it's worse than it is. if you're never met someone in person and only been talking for less than like 2 weeks then I really don't think it's a big deal! sometimes conversations taper out or life got busy it happens

I can relate to this. I’m sorry you are going through this.

I agree with #1, if it's someone you don't know very well, haven't met in person yet, or started talking to very recently and they are worsening your mental health sometimes ghosting can be the right choice.

They aren’t really worsening my mental health, I get anxious in all social situations, including ones that are low stakes and mean nothing like online stuff. I have become less anxious just talking to people online, like it’s exposure therapy. I just don’t wanna hurt anyone’s feelings when it gets too much for me, and I don’t wanna dump my mental state onto a stranger either. I realize now that I’m overthinking it a little
