Started birth control almost a year ago for pain management during my cycle and it helps (a lot!) but I have gained about 7 pounds. My family keeps commenting on it and at this point I hate exposing my body even more than I already did.

Have averaged 5 miles of walking per day this year and don’t eat that much—the weight doesn’t come off. I feel even less comfortable being seen and it’s messing with my social anxiety even more. I just want it to stop but I don’t want to go back to more pain.

This world is insane, 7 pounds isn’t even that much. I’m sorry people are being so weird about it :(

aww babes... i dealt with the weight gain as well. it's a little scary but i like to look at the bright side (my small boobs grew a bit lol). but girly pop, don't let what other people say bother you. you can't make everyone happy. this medication is helping you to not be in excruciating pain. and that's GREAT! you've got this and you are beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

Ehh they’re really hyper-focused on health and nutrition so they notice if anybody gains weight and immediately comment on it. Hearing “you need to lay off the donuts” (not literal, we eat donuts maybe once every three months) is not uncommon :/

ofc girlie. i understand the insecurity but embrace who you are and how you look. all that matters is how you look at yourself. if you continue to tell yourself that you're beautiful, you'll start believing it and even seeing it 🫶🏻

The irony is that they’re actually putting pressure on you to be less healthy, both mentally and physically. Please do what’s right for your body and do whatever you need to do to shield yourself from their bs. Managing your pain is soooo important, you deserve to feel comfortable in your body both physically and mentally
