I’m so petrified of people and being out in public that I throw up most mornings. I’m so tired of being so anxious over nothing, how do I stop?

I’ve been thinking a lot about that option recently, is it really worth it?

For a couple of my friends it was. Although one of them had to try a few before finding the right one, which was difficult. But she’s doing much better now

My other friend was prescribed lexapro and it worked right off the bay (within a few weeks bc it takes a while to build up apparently)

It’s very individual but it’s worth a try

For me, yes! I have bad social anxiety and anxiety in general. Zoloft has helped me a lot with that, and i'm super happy to have started taking it!

I think I might make a few calls tomorrow. I’ve been thinking about it for a while now and I’m not getting any better, it might be time.

Was it hard to get a prescription itself? Ive always thought that maybe I wasn’t bad enough to qualify

That sounds like a good idea. If you have it in you, I would also ask to get tested for 3 things: iron, vitamin D, and B12 deficiencies. They are very common and worsen mental health issues BUT if that’s too much for now, just tuck it away in your back pocket and keep it in mind for when you do have the capacity in the future I wish you the best of luck 🫂

Ideally you would ask for a referral to a psychiatrist. Psychiatrists prescribe mental health drugs (as opposed to psychologists). They’ll have more knowledge than a general doctor, BUT a general doctor can also prescribe these meds
