Is it bad that I feel anxious about being alone in the dorm room? My roommate move out to go live with their friend and now the other side of the room is empty and looking at it make me feel anxious and sad like I am alone in here by myself

I’m in a similar(ish) situation. I live in a 2 bed student apartment and got assigned a roommate when I got my housing assignment back in December. But when I moved in at the beginning of January she never showed up and to this day her room is empty. I like being on my own but it can be lonely and it does freak me out some nights with ppl above me and outside making noises like ppl randomly screaming and shit

I am scared that they give me a new roommate and I don’t think I can handle that this late in the semester 😭

I would bring it up to your dorm rector. Mention how much your “wellbeing\mental health” has been since not having a roommate and request politely that he doesn’t assign someone else.

My school has a person in each dorm who’s in charge of the dorm. In my case it’s the rector. I mean whoever it’s in charge of housing. It may be the housing office itself
