my housing accommodation request was denied and i had an anxiety attack bc i was placed wit randoms. i had a very traumatic experience with roommates and i literally can’t do it. apparently that’s not enough proof!

Try to go over housing’s head and reach out to your dorm rector directly. If your school doesn’t have one go to the mental health center, psychologist, counselor and try to request a single from the health angle.

Im sorry that’s happening to you! Do you think you could get a roommate group made with your friends and at least request to room with them?

it’s too late for roommate matching. i already matched with one friend. our plan was for me to have one bedroom and she get the other, but there was a ton of confusion so we can’t get singles unless im placed in a single. i’m going to go to the accommodations office, i tried today with no luck. i’m just shocked at the lack of support for students!

Definitely email a lot and call, you probably have a therapist’s note, but if you don’t get another one, maybe even have them call the school. I wish you the best!!

Documentation for housing is very specific about wording (at least at my uni). One of the best things to do, is being specific about the functional limitations
