Remember people aren’t as concerned about you as you think they are, they’re more concerned about themselves. A person or two might remember something stupid you do, but the vast majority will forget and if you don’t let it dictate your personality it won’t dictate your reputation. Just take a chance to meet someone, even if its giving a quick compliment or asking someones name, getting people to recognize you as someone positive will make it easier to make friends in the long run.

this experience will be exactly what you make of it. you can’t wait for memories you want to make to happen because they won’t. you have to create the fantasy you want to live (so to speak), because life experiences aren’t a guarantee. wanna have a party? plan that party! want balloons for your birthday? get yourself those balloons girl! want to be a social butterfly? start actively looking for community events to crash!

there will be times when you want to pick your friends over school so badly. never let your FOMO get to the point where it causes you to put in less effort than you WANT to on something. i had multiple projects go sideways because i HAD TO be there or NEEDED to see what happened. it’s not worth it especially if you take pride in what you do. balance and moderation is key. and so is communication and the ability to give others grace when they fuck up as they learn to live more independently!
