I’m struggling to get myself to go outside and do things I wanna try but keep making excuses like it’s too hot or too far how do I get myself out of this mentality

Now’s not a great time because of the smog and the heat waves, but once it cools off a bit (no later than the end of august), give yourself something to go do that’s as easy as you can think of while still presenting a challenge. For me and my driving anxiety, that was driving to the the Wendy’s that’s about a 3 minute drive away with no busy roads and getting a frosty at the drive thru. Try to give yourself increasingly difficult tasks, keeping in mind that you if you’re facing your fears you-

-should be a bit uncomfortable, always with the caveat that if you get too overwhelmed you can go home (or in my case, pull over). Keep doing this until you’ve reached your goal. Good luck!
