Hearing so many people talk about working as EMTs, having internships etc. all as freshman. I’m a freshman too and I feel so behind, I commute and live far from my university :(. I don’t even know the first step into getting into jobs like that

Hey it’s okay! You don’t have to have it all figured out yet. First, see if your school has its own EMT program, like some schools will have their students be part of the first responders team for any incidents that happen in dorms etc…, also you don’t have to have a job necessarily for clinical hours, you can also volunteer. Internships wise; ask your friends how they got theirs, or Google it around where you live/your uni and take the leap, throw in an application. (1/2)

(2/2) you need know if you’ll get in or not unless you try. I didn’t get any of my positions till sophomore year spring so just keep looking and trying and talking to other people!
