As someone who went to a psych ward because of my anxiety, and now thankfully diagnosed, the only way to try and move past it even a little is exposure therapy. Some days are worse then others, but the people who say do thinks that make you uncomfortable>

Are right. And you will feel uncomfortable while doing them, it won’t cure you, but once you do it once it’ll get easier and easier. I used to go to parties alone, sometimes it sucked, other times I made new friends. And after learning you can do things alone and people don’t care, everything gets easier. If you just started medication, the first few weeks SUCK. I had horrible paranoia and some of the worst anxiety of my life. It’s been about 3 or 4 months and they truly have helped

I go into work now and I don’t feel like I’m on the continuous edge of having an anxiety attack. I can talk to people freely. There’s good days and bad days, nothing is perfect on SSRIS but if it got to the point where you couldn’t make it into work or step outside, and you’d rather off yourself before doing so, I know from experience, then I highly recommend. It gets better.
