I try to “script” the conversation. For example, if I’m calling a doctors office, first thing they’ll say is: Dr office how can I help. Then I script: I would like to make an appointment with Dr X. The logical follow up is when would you like your appointment? I sketch a few dates and times. Basically plan the most likely course of conversation and plan accordingly. If it’s unexpected/ unplanned you can still just ask follow ups that are reasonable

This might sound stupid but I kinda practiced with my family, in the sense that I would call family members I’m comfortable with just to chat so when I would make a real phone call later it wouldn’t be as intimidating (maybe on a subconscious level It reminded me of my family or something idk)

I write out what I have to say and practice saying it twice so it feels natural. Also try to imagine if you had a job where you answered phone calls all day, a single caller wouldn’t stand out to you and you wouldn’t judge them, so the people you’re calling won’t judge you
