It’s a magical girl anime about a group of girls fighting to defend a world called Aliciapia, a world young girls can travel to through a video streaming app, from the threat of the Jammerwocks, monsters that steal the energy that is produced when someone is having fun. It started airing last year and is at episode 40 of 48 right now. They haven’t made any plans to liscense the series outside of Japan yet so the only way is to watch it is through piracy, but I promise it is worth it.

Symphogear on the other hand aired between 2012 and 2018, and is about a group making use of a melding of ancient relics and modern technology called Symphogears to protect the world from various different threats. Both series have a musical combat style, in which while the characters are fighting they are actively singing a song that acts as the source of their power.
