I believe the point of the show is to point out and make fun of various common romance tropes. Not every episode is a banger ofc, but that’s how it is with any romcom in my experience !

If you can look past the twins and the occasional outdated/insensitive jokes, it’s so peak. The ending of the manga is also great.
