I don’t think you guys understand… the author wanted you to hate they were killed. That’s called good writing. Trust me… if you didn’t have cool characters you liked getting killed off, the story would be very bland. *AHEM* One Piece

For example Hell’s Paradise does this really well. The importance of mortality vs immortality along with “finding the middle route” is the perfect representation of theme in death. Mfs are cool af in that animanga but they also get killed the same volume they’re introduced. It creates tension and stake in the story.

I don’t want to spoil which show inspired this post but I was so hyped for this one character and they fought so hard but died immediately. Sad because I wish we could have seen more of them
