I mean that people are overhyping it and not analyzing it properly. I think it means exactly what it sounds like. You need to ask a better question.

I mean the fact that anyone considers a One Piece character to be above continental level. Literally all evidence that anyone can be powerscaled outside of the verse is based on ONE TIME Oda said that if White Beard used his devil fruit enough it could destroy the world. So therefore people say “well durrr luffy is stronger than white beard so that means one of his punches are planetary” like what?!

That has nothing to do with the actual story man. What you’re criticizing is a stupid subsection of the fanbase. Using that as a knock against One Piece as whole is unfair. If you have something to say about the actual story and world building I will gladly hear you out. I love One Piece, and I will admit it has faults, but the stupidity of power scalers (which is found in every fanbase) is not one of them.

Well you asked about one specific part of list of reasons I didn’t like it. I can go on about the story a lot. Luffy’s character was ruined and gear 5 is one of the worst transformations in shonen history.
