Bungou Stray Dogs is overrated and has no soul to it. Same with Dazai, like yeah sure he’s comedic relief but he’s not really complex. I watched all of S1 and part of S2 HOPING that I’d like it. It just felt bland to me

Kaname Kuran and Yuki should have had a happy ending. The manga continues past the show’s end so the characters keep developing. (Not to spoil, but) I just wish the mangaka would have given them a happier ending

i’m watching it for shits and giggles rn and after they defeat hendrickson (season 2 i think??) it ALLLLL goes to shit. first 1 1/2 seasons are really good story and animation wise with fan service yes but ignore it and you’re fine. but the ageplay stuff with ban and elaine gets so grotesque i literally cannot do it

It’s pretty odd as well. I wasn’t in a good mental state when I read it and just wanted some gore/horror but instead I got smut (I didn’t look at the description before I started reading). If you want angst then do some Tokyo Ghoul or Blade of the Immortal. Most seinens have decent angst.

the fuss was mostly because for some reason lezhin marketed it as dark bl when it’s actually psychological horror that also happens to have a lot of gay sex. so people who went into it blind were shocked mainly because they’d been GREATLY misled lol. personally i think it starts out good, takes a bit of a dive, then generally pulls it back together for the ending
