felt like i was losing my mind when i saw people say that they thought he was a better choice than itsuomi when this was still airing. did we watch the same anime... this guy is a major asshole.

The second “love interest” in a sign of affection. I think we’re supposed to feel sorry for him since she didn’t choose him, but he was just a dick to her the entire time.

He babies her, he gets in her face and her business, he talks down to her like she’s naive, basically says Itsuomi is probably using her because why else would he like her? She even says at some point that yes he learned sign language, but they’ve known each other for years and he only ever says mean things to her. Like it’s not a 5 year old being mean to the girl he likes, they’re in college. And he’s rude to his “friends” for basically no reason so it’s not just to her
