People are allowed to ship what they want. The problem is that the author did a poor job of actually writing them together romantically, I don’t ship bkdk but OML they were obsessed with eachother. I understand why people interpreted it differently

speak your truth bestie no matter the downvotes, mha can’t write women as well as men so ofc a straight relationship wouldn’t be as compelling as an m/m one (i say also not shipping bkdk or any mha ships for that matter)

I feel like Ochako and Toga WERE well written but for whatever reason the author couldn’t write men and women interacting … because why would men and women be able to have any romantic or platonic relationships. The only characters who interact in a meaningful way and aren’t the same gender are Kiri and Mina. I think it’s definitely a writing problem.
