It’s so hard to find ppl who aren’t shit heads at my college. Like, tell me why I tried joining anime club and everyone was so judgemental. Like guys, I’ve spent thousands on figures and manga too. It’s js hard to find people with similar interests when I don’t look the part

I mean you could always introduce other friends who you think would have certain anime up their alley to them and talk. I was pre med and got some of my other pre med friends into monster lol and now they’re into other anime too. Met my philosophy friend in the library and we were just yapping for hours instead of studying like we should’ve been and turned out he was a big anime dude too, def didn’t give an emo vibe seemed pretty normal. Idk most ppl who like anime ik are pretty normal & chill

I wish I went to ur school. I’m gonna try this year, I’m planning on dressing as Choso for Halloweekend this year. Hopefully it’ll signal to people more than my costume last year. Last year I went to the frats in full Gappy attire and nobody really recognized the jojo makeup unfortunately. Still think it was cute tho

Dude I totally would’ve given a holler and been like Ayo sick costume! I saw a girl as sukana from jjk and a couple guys dressed in akatsuki robes so that was sick. Got into a lightsaber battle with a Darth Vader I ran into at a karaoke bar lmao. I’m in Kansas so you wouldn’t expect it stereotype wise but yeah ppl know ball here. There are pretentious ppl everywhere tho tbh

I’m at a decently sized school in Illinois, it’s just a big culture shock coming from Chicago to central Illinois. Greek life is big at my school so, people assume I’m not into that stuff cuz of how I look. Mind u I’m not even in a sorority. Stereotypes go crazy at my school unfortunately

I mean if there are like over 15k ppl at your school it’s rly just a numbers game ngl (mine has 30k) so you’ll end up running into other chill normal ppl into anime eventually. Just like join lots of other clubs you’re interested in and talk to ppl abt your interests. There might be other ppl who just don’t publicly express their interests and don’t look like the stereotype too until you give them the chance to. Either way you end up making friends and can always turn them lmao
