It’s a very accurate and visceral depiction of generational trauma. It shows how it affects not only a family but those connected to them, and it’s so well written and character oriented. Honestly made me sob so many times when I binged it I ended up needing antibiotics for a sinus infection.

Season one is a bit weak because it’s all character introduction and setting up the plot, then it gets really good. It uses the Zodiac curse as both a metaphor for trauma and abuse while also introducing a unique magical element to the story.
