i don’t think so. if a movie stays true to the manga and plot and has dope animation, it’s all cool.

firey red hot take but the death note movie was good if you treat it as its own standalone story and not like a retelling of the anime < .>

Made this post after watching Hxh Phantom Rouge. It was nice to see new scenes but omg was it awful. Kind of made me realize how Togashi is able to make arguably boring scenes interesting with his writing style
