
as a woman I have to say that I relate to more male characters but it’s NOT because I relate to men more, it’s strictly because it’s so much more rare for female characters to be as well rounded and as well written as male characters. It’s hard to relate to archetypes/stereotypes/1D characters.
I’ve only seen one or two ladies in my 5 years of watching/reading who I’ve actually really related with: Rin from Blade of the Immortal (manga) and Yuki from Vampire Knight (manga/anime). They’re both stressed out girls who know nothing and act tough but are freaking out on the inside.
