I disagree whole heartedly, the development of all the characters was so perfect, and there was so much growth. The final battle showcased sacrifice, as well as challenged characters to actually back up their words, and not in a physical aspect. Bakugou shows he’s become a better person, and swallowed his pride. And Deku shows he was willing to sacrifice everything and be a true hero, swallowing his own pride and giving up his own dreams as well. Sorry but I have to disagree

Horikoshi’s greatest weakness as a writer is character development. Deku starts and ends the series with exactly the same: an anxious, slightly whiny, but determined kid with a good heart. Bakugo likewise doesn’t change, he’s aggressive but ultimately good at the beginning, and nothing changes by the end. Neither of them ever ends up questioning their beliefs or undergoing any serious introspection, and you don’t get to claim character development for making a sacrifice when it’s been

Shown over and over again that deku is perfectly fine getting seriously injured to protect people. Thats behaving in character, not developing it.

Did you? Seriously, what changes about deku other than getting new powers? That’s not development. His characterization and views on the world are entirely static through the entire series

Character not changing world view doesn’t mean he hasn’t changed… if you want that kinda change look at Bakugo or Endeavor, Deku as a Character is set on being a hero and no matter that’s what he wants to do, he has no reason to have a massive change on his goal.
