If fishman island is killing you then just don’t watch one piece. There are tons of amazing Anime, and while Wano is genuinely incredible, don’t watch something that feels miserable to get to something you think you “might” enjoy.

Yeah if you’re at fishman and you’re still questioning, watching probably isn’t the route for you. The story is still fantastic and absolutely worth experiencing (despite Toei’s best efforts to shoot it in the foot), so I would recommend reading the manga if you really do want to get caught up.

If it’s specifically an issue with fishman island, you can watch the remade log version which significantly cuts down on pacing issues and makes it like half the size. For Wano, I personally enjoyed it myself and the episode count wasn’t an issue for me, but if you find that annoying, there’s always One Pace

Honestly I’m just waiting for “the one piece” from Netflix to drop so I can watch the show and hopefully it has better pacing
