It’s great because the anime cuts most of the plot and exposition so sometimes it just doesn’t make sense since adapting light novels is too hard apparently

I also would’ve said AOT but at this point I have too much peak to choose from. JJK has my favorite power system, Chainsaw Man made a huge jump from Denji being barely tolerable to my favorite MC with an amazing plot and tons of movie references due to Fujimoto being a cinephile, and Frieren is also just top tier all around, and Hell’s Paradise is shaping up to be another noteworthy Shounen. We’re in a bit renaissance right now

I grew up on Bleach and absolutely love the direction that TYBW is going, but even then I gotta be real it’s getting outshined by a lot of stuff right now - I think if it had come out the same time Naruto’s Son got a first season it would be a bigger household name

1000% recommend it, I would’ve considered myself a big fan of it prior to the Reze movie, but once that movie came out? Oh fuck bro it’s the best piece of media out there I’ve ever seen, there’s a reason it received A) the most letterboxd reviews of 2025 and B) the Highest letterboxd reviews of 2025
