
Kill la Kill is the best show when you are smart and have enough knowledge in media literature to look past the outfits and understand their deeper meaning. It’s one of my favorite anime’s and it is so much fun to pick apart symbolically and within the social context of Japanese culture- which I did for a sociology on pop culture paper in one of my classes!
I think the art style, music, and visuals are all executed better in Kill La Kill, plus the plot feels a lot more cohesive and like each character has a role to play instead of just being used as shock value for deaths. I also like how goofy it is in general while still having an actual overarching mystery that gets unraveled and the characters have to deal with
