I’m trying to get back into reading manga and want more recommendations. I’ve read pretty much everything basic Shonen (like fr almost the whole SJ catalogue). Currently reading Hell’s Paradise, was considering to continue Homunculus.

Homunculus is lowkey too freaky tho. I read the first 2 in 1 volumes (first 4 volumes technically) and that shit… bruh idk how to feel about him molesting a minor yet being taken advantage of at the same time.

Dude props to you fr. I genuinely think I’m familiar with like… 70% of manga out there and these five I’ve never heard of. I shall check them out rn 🫡

that “idk how to feel about this” feeling is part of what I love so much about complicated & edgy morally-messy manga personally, it’s a thought-provoking way to approach subjects where in real life we can’t take the time to stop and pick the motivations / psychology apart because the bottom line is that someone was harmed

not that we should be learning compassion for child abusers obviously, but like, as part of being strongly morally opposed to child abuse and wanting to prevent it in real life, it’s useful to be able to comprehend how & why people become that way. so we can protect kids and work on understanding how to intervene when someone’s on the path towards becoming an abuser. that’s what was so interesting to me about Happy Sugar Life as well
