it's not exactly weird per say and it isn't fully focused on the romance but "In/Spectre", though the female MC is very straight forward about her intentions. I also HIGHLY recommend Cosmic Princess Kaguya, it's a super cute GL movie although they never explicitly say it a romance cos Japan leaders aren't very fond of queer media

If you want a good classic I would recommend “My Love Story” it’s really funny with a damn good story. Would also recommend Horimiya for a more modern option, if you haven’t already been recommended it.

It is, but nah my main complaint wasn’t that it’s been a while since I watched it but I just hated that fake magic pokemon whatever it was. I just feel he didn’t get punished. I also wanted the fl to go down the no romance path ( though her romance was developed well enough that I am ok with it). That said I binged it all in 1 night so I did laugh a lot
