it kinda just is. I won’t individually label you as a nerd if that’s not who you are, cause ofc not Everyone who enjoys anime is necessarily classifiable that way. that said, being part of a fandom or having your love of a particular fictional medium be a component of your personality is still some definitive nerd shit. there’s nothing wrong with that though!

I believe #1 summed it up pretty good but anytime i talk to ppl outside of anime ppl they consider anime “nerdy” and so many ppl used to get mad fun of for watching it now its fine but i definitely believe there’s a little more personality based factor when it comes to being kinda “nerdy”
