That was me with Garp-cuz heres this guy with an extremely strong Scottish accent raising a kid who sounds like he’s from Mexico

It’s how the dub translated the formal/informal speech from different characters into the English version, we don’t really have a “more formal” way of talking so they use accents to give the same vibes based on stereotypes
