Just realized the homonculus tattoos are placed on their bodies (FMA/B) in places that symbolize their sin Lust’s is on her chest, Gluttony’s is on his tongue, Wrath’s is his eye… I wonder if that’s an allusion to the eyes of wrath

The one that I don’t get is envy. Why’s it on their thigh?

Sorry that sounded condescending, just mean I’m glad others picked up on it too

Tbf, I watched it for the first time when I was like 11/12 😂 This is the first time I’m actually doing a full rewatch a decade+ later! It’s so cool to understand all the subtleties of the story and characters!

I googled it bc I was curious but it’s bc of the deep-seeded envy/jealousy he has for humans—the envy that he metaphorically “stands” on I never would have thought of it like that 🤔

I thought it was more like, he’s on his knees looking up, envious of those above him, symbolically of course, but idk knee would work better for that wouldn’t it

I think it can be taken both ways but I feel like there would be more emphasis if it were the knee as the focal point rather than the thigh I can see it both ways tho
