Guys AITA if my friend has a routine of smoking with me or my friend every night because she needs it to sleep, but gets panic attacks when she smoke alone, and if neither of us are available or just don’t want to, she thinks we are being selfish. Are we?

no tf if she’s getting panic attacks then she’s just suppressing them when she smokes with you guys. she obviously needs to quit for a while and she has a bad relationship with weed. and it’s not anybody’s responsibility to smoke with her. if she feels the need to smoke she can do it on her own. since that’s not the case she needs to quit

Does she have her own bud or do yall smoke her out? Either way she’s the one being selfish but that would be a double red flag if she’s a leech on top of the egocentrism

Thanks, her claim is that she can’t just quit or try something else cause she’s tried 5 other meds to help her sleep and weed is the only thing that’s gotten her to sleep. I don’t think she’d quit even if she wanted to cause she’s so reliant on it.

We both have our own stashes of bud.

yeah she’s never gonna admit this but the reason she can’t sleep without smoking is bc she’s become dependent on it. when she stops smoking, it will absolutely affect her sleep. but to counteract this she should take melatonin for a week or two

got ya, well yeah if she’s genuinely upset then that’s unreasonable— even if she says she was joking or being dramatic, there’s usually some truth in what’s being said
