I will never understand the death penalty. Tanner Horner deserves to rot in prison and have the same thing happen to him that he did to that little girl. He doesn’t deserve the peace of just dying.

HARD AGREE!!!! I think he will suffer more in prison by enduring horrific things for the rest of his life. Once those inmates find out what he did, I wouldn’t even be surprised if they took care of him themselves. It sure would be much scarier and painful than lethal injection.

I like the death penalty as long as it can be painful. I don’t like the ways of executing the people on death row today, it’s too… peaceful. Also, putting ppl on Life Without Parole (LWOP) costs a lot and the people there don’t have anything to lose so they will harm others, such as the other, more innocent inmates and COs. And what if they escape and do more harm? Or convince a judge (because our legal system is fucked and we have a lot of dumbasd judges) to let them go???

This is the wrong reason to oppose the death penalty

I agree because we’re paying for his suffering

I 100% agree The risk of people like that causing further harm simply by existing (and like you said, potentially getting out, where they’re free to hurt more people) is too much. Some people just need to be gotten rid of.

I believe imprisonment until death or rehabilitation is better, not because it prolongs the convicts suffering, but because its coherent with the penitentiary’s multi-purpose (punishment, deterrence, incapacitation, rehabilitation). And more importantly, because it reflects the valuable idea that human life is priceless and not for authorities to take. The government shouldn’t be allowed to kill citizens unless there is no alternative.
