Women have been socialized to not make waves, to be quiet, and put ourselves last. Once you unlearn those habits, it will be easier to speak your needs.

You’re not stupid op but definitely hating doctors is the wrong conclusion here, they did what they were supposed to. I had a doc that creeped me out and you just need to get over the awkwardness of it and ask for a different provider

Op surely you understand that sometimes a male doctor is the only person available on staff and that the best they can do to accommodate your preferences is to ask you if you’d like them to find a female doctor. That’s literally all they can do given our supply of doctors.
