There was a “no burn warning” in my area. The environment was super dry and even a small fire could start a forest fire! Neighbor decided to do a MASSIVE BONFIRE. AITA for calling the firemen on him? (Firemen came and hosed down the bonfire).

Absolutely not. Anyone with decent fire training / safety skills should know not to build a massive bonfire. Safest thing is no fire. A small very contained fire I wouldn’t call firemen on but still not best practice. For the person that said wait till it gets to the forest… by then it’s too late 🤦‍♂️

youre certainly not the asshole. forest fires are so dangerous especially if your community doesnt do regular controlled fires. having a bonfire during a no burn warning is like smoking a cigarette while youre pumping your car with gas 😭
