Unfortunately I think too many people are selfish nowadays. You are a good person and a good roommate and if I had a disease as potentially life-threatening as celiacs, I’d want you as a roommate! Now, there’s a definitely a line, but you get to decide it. What’s too much for you to do? What are you fine doing for your new roommate? If you’re fine giving them space and everything, then who cares?
no i think this is lowk basic caring for celiacs bc it can be so dangerous and harmful to your roommie! i think you’re just being a basic amount of kind based on what you believe you can do. and that should be normal! and i’m sure she’ll appreciate that sm more than other responses she gets for being a celiac
Obviously there’s a line, but if it’s not an inconvenience to you, why not do something small to make your new roommate feel more comfortable and secure in their new home? Because it’s their home too now, and they deserve to feel safe there. Yes, you shouldn’t have to change anything drastic for them, like if you had to get rid of all gluten in the whole apartment, that could be an issue. But for small stuff that doesn’t really matter, it costs nothing to just be kind. Good on you ❤️
