I told my boss at 2 that my doctor called and said I had to be seen immediately and that she could get me in at four (results came back for something). Told my boss and she said I can’t leave bc I “made a commitment.” For context, I work at lawyeroffice..

Lawyer office and am scheduled until 7 pm. All the lawyers leave today at 5. So we’re technically open, but if someone DID walk in past 5, you can’t be seen (cause the lawyers left) she’s still making me stay until 7?!?! FOR NO REASON?!? there’s zero point in me being here past five, so leaving early for an health emergency seems crazy. Like thanks I’ll just sit here for two hours ALONE when I should be at the doctor reviewing these important test results THAT THEY CALLED AND SAID COME IN ASAP.

Insane! I hate employers that don’t prioritize health! I hope everything turned out ok and that it wasn’t serious! Also, WTF are YOU gonna do if someone actually does show up?! 🙄🙄🙄😒

Manager is making you follow stupid orders to show her power over you like some cult. Cults do stupid things just to see who gives them power. She’s sociopathic.

I literally can’t do anything if someone shows up. Also, I’m in the building all alone, which to be seems like a safety concern. I’m 21 and a woman. Like?? Besides the health emergency, why are you keeping me in a building alone with the door open for “potential clients” like hello?!?
