I feel like an asshole. I'm canceling a movie date with this dude for tomorrow cause he keeps leaving me on read and I'm just not vibing with him. But I really want to see the movie so I'm going to see it at a different theater on my own tomorrow 🧍

You are, he’s not supposed to be at your every whim, that’s just a toxic relationship, sometimes people prefer in person conversations rather than constantly texting. From the information you’ve given I think ur kinda being weird, if there’s more to the story, you didn’t provide it

I mean I don't need to hear from him 24/7... I need decompression time just like him. I just don't appreciate asking simple questions like "would you want to split a popcorn?" And have my text be left on seen for 12+ hours before I get a response. If I'm not in the mood to answer a text, I just don't open it.

I get that, just saying just because some people don’t check their texts that often doesn’t mean they’re a bad person. Honestly would be a green flag if they only checked their messages like once a day. My response was based on the fact you were canceling one day before and he hadn’t done anything more than be a slow responder to messages.

No this was supposed to be our 2nd date. And like I said I don't vibe with him. There's multiple reasons why I don't vibe with him but I had hoped that my short explanation was enough to convey that there were more reasons. One being that he asked 30 minutes before our first date to push it back an hour and still showed up late. Also he's fairly apolitical which isn't what I'm looking for. So again, I don't really vibe with him.
