I’ve said no twice when the boss asked me last minute. But she told me on Monday (when I had to stay over to cover that girls shift) to also plan on having to work today, and Wednesdays are supposed to be my day off

That’s when u have to assert dominance bc it’s not fair to let that girl js call off whenever she wants and you have to work her shift every time yk. that happened to me as well at my past job the boss needs to figure it out if u can’t u can’t 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s a daycare and none of the college girls ever pick up shifts (they usually leave the shifts they do have early and call out a lot so I have to pick up their shifts too) so it’s either I pick up shifts or the random office lady has to fill in which isn’t fair to her

Ok here is the problem you can’t let everyone walk all over you. Sometimes you gotta put urself first. Especially when your also dealing with work and college on top of that

I’m not in college so I can work full time. The girl im talking about in the original post also is not in college. I don’t mind too much picking up shifts bc it means more money for me. But it’s so annoying when I think I have one hour left of work and the my boss tells me I have to say 3+ more hours. Throws off my whole day. Also I don’t think you’re understanding. I’m not letting anyone walk all over me. It’s literally I pick up the shift or the kids are fucked and that’s not very fair to them

It’s also not fair if I CAN help but leave the 17 year old to do it all on her own
