If you bought the couch then made it known to her that it’s a gift for HER then it’s a little corny to ask for it back just cause you’re broken up. I get that it’s expensive but you should’ve bought it just for the apartment and not made it a gift if that makes sense. It’s 4k though so it dosent hurt to ask I guess

Update: She offered me money instead of the couch and made me a nice lox bagel and coffee when I came to ask for it. I told her I'd think about it but tbh it feels weird to take the money so I think I'll just charge it to the game

Tbf couches are just that expensive. My partner and I got lucky and found a pretty big and comfy sectional on wayfair for $1k but that’s a rarity

Idk about used couches (or any kind of used cushion) but even the cleaned second hand store ones are expensive 😭 I just stuck to a couple futons for years until I was able to splurge on a real, more durable couch last month
