AITA for being jealous of my bf and his new online friend? He met a girl on a game and they’ve been talking a lot recently. She’s been through a lot and a way to make her laugh is by calling her pet names. He calls her honey, baby, and love. What do I do?

I already thought that was pretty sus already before the pet name thing, but after that, damn that’s actually crazy. There’s literally no reason for someone to call someone who isn’t their partner those kinds of things. Even if it’s to make her laugh, that’s really no justification. NTA, if anything you’re underreacting, it seems

Even if she’s sweet or whatever, doesn’t matter. She should also know that it’s weird for another girl’s bf to call her pet names like that….. And you’re NTA at all that’s weird for him to call her pet names couples would say.

For an update, I talked with him about it and he apologized and said he would stop. I don’t have a problem with him being friends with girls since we both have friends of the opposite gender. The girl seems sweet so hopefully I’ll get to know her better!
