Id ask to help pay for both tbh, and ik my friends would help, so you got bad friends who are using you for the free ride if they don’t want to help out

You should test them and say you won’t be able to make it and see what they say first “about driving them”or “about you not attending” that should tell you everything you need to know about their intentions.
