I stopped talking to a guy for not voting blue. Nothing against him to choose what he wants, just not interested. AITA? Dms welcome.

Definitely NTA. I wouldn’t want to date someone I’m not politically compatible with either. Being friends is a different story though

No that’s totally normal. Politics are gonna be a big part in dating someone. Granted, voting red or blue doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t ever have the same opinion. Maybe he had his reasons? Idk. Voting is def more important in relationships than friendships tho

I mean he chose what you wanted which was to vote red. And you chose what you wanted which was to leave him. No you are not TA

I mean did you ghost? I would give him the decent to say you appreciate his time but you don’t see the two of you as compatible

Def nta, if yall don’t have the same beliefs and that makes you feel some type of way it’s better to end it now than later, also depending on who he voted for (Byron for example) I would be personally be more worried about what his specific reasonings were yk?

rather odd how this kinda exclusion or red flag is always coming from the blue side of the fence. i mean, nevermind it all being part of the same beast to begin with...but anyone who votes strictly along party lines, and with no consideration of the specific candidates impact to the specific seat and role...well, usually they are uniformed and/or lazy. as there's candidates from both parties that would be the better fit for the general public in many different situations/circumstances.
