All this tells me is that you’d lose 50lbs for someone taller lmao
AITA because when a guy in my class came up unprompted and said “you’d be so hot if you lost fifty pounds”, I told him “you’d be worth listening to if you grew six inches”. He got very upset

I mean like thats the whole point- if you wanna micromanage someone else’s body then she can too 🤷‍♂️

this is just a reading comprehension issue 😭 she’s not admitting that she’d take his advice if he were taller. “listening to him” doesn’t mean fulfilling his request in this context, it literally means listening to him

Ok so you know how you’re tweaking about height? It turns out you’re not the only one who experiences insecurities and anxiety around ppl micromanaging other ppls bodies. When someone turns the mirror back around on you you should reflect a bit and ponder why your reflection look like that

And MY point was that it comes off as “I’ll let a tall guy fat shame me” which sounds stupid and the opposite of empowering

Yeah so again, thats not what OP was saying at all. Theres a reason the SAT has you read an excerpt and then asks you what the overall message/point was. You CAN be wrong.

To spell it out again, the point was “treat others as you wish to be treated”. If you think its okay to be critical of the bodies of others, others should be able to be critical of yours. That was the point.
