Just share it but I need around 450 while she needs something closer to 350. She said that hers would only need 10 minutes to bake but I said no. I told her that I haven't eaten for 8 hours and then preheated the oven for myself. Now she's mad at me for not letting her use the oven first

nta, she had JUST gotten the impulse to bake and you were starving. food takes priority to desserts

Nta, but also like her cookies could have been cooked at that temp for a shorter time and both could have been happy.

It depends on the situation honestly. Like if she wasn’t going anywhere, then I don’t see a reason why it would be so important to cook cookies immediately.

I wouldn’t call either of you the asshole. OP was hungry and you’re not you when you’re hungry. But also roommate was already prepping for it so from their perspective, you’re “stealing” it. Both valid to feel that way. I think you both could have compromised by putting the brownies & pizza in at 350° or maybe even 375°, then turn it up when the brownies come out. For the future, consider getting a toaster oven or air fryer if this happens often.
