It sounds like you two are not compatible at all. You can choose to either spend your whole life begging this guy to meet your needs, or you can find someone who meets them naturally. Your bf sounds like a douche but he also just sounds like he doesn’t feel love in the same way you do. No one is 100% aligned, but where you differ, you need to put in extra work to predict their needs. He’s not willing to and it won’t get better.

yeah I’m with two here if he doesn’t start making progress or at least trying harder after a few conversations about it, he probably doesn’t want to. He’s not a bad person for being different from you but your desires aren’t matching. I’d say one more conversation with a more solid “try or we’re done” message

This is quite literally the same exact situation I had with my ex to a T. I know this is upsetting to hear but this behavior doesn’t change at all. I was with my ex for four years and he was like this the whole time. Honestly girl I would seriously consider finding someone else you deserve someone who loves you the way you want to be loved!! You seem like an absolute sweetheart and you deserve so much more. I would really just think on can you handle this forever? Because this does not change
